Here we have a very rare 1985 Fender Japan ST62 in Salmon Metallic Pink.

1985 was when Fender was sold and stopped production while they were changing hands. In this time, Fender’s guitar production was continued solely in Japan until the opening of Fender’s Corona factory. 

The quality of the MIJ guitars made in this period are considered to be just as good, or even better, than their American counterparts.

This guitar was produced during the A serial number period, which is one of the especially more desirable eras of Fender Japan.

Not to mention, the ultra rare factory original finish.

Although it is hard to describe, it is like the pink version of Ice Metallic Blue.

You can also see the reddish hints of Fiesta Red, making it a truly unique color that we are sure both traditionalists and those with more modern tastes will love.

【Specs and condition】

In very clean condition considering its age.

Some very light dinging in the finish in a few locations, but we feel that it’s less than a couple months worth of wear.

There is also the usual stress crack at the neck pocket.
