We also do commissioned guitar hunts on the Japanese market, so feel free to message us if you have something in mind or even if you are unsure. We can make recommendations that suit your taste to the best of our knowledge.

Here we have a 2004 Yamano Limited Edition Gibson ES335 in Iced Tea Burst with small block inlays.

Extremely similar to Larry Carlton’s famous ES335, this is a must for fans.

We cannot claim that these are Custom Shop, but some people have sold these as such in the past. Either way, these are no doubt top quality, as Yamano is famous for being selective with their inventory.

【Specs and condition】

In all original condition.

It has some minor scratching and dinging on it, as to be expected of something its age, but it is on the clean side, everything considered.

There is a chip on the finish on the horn that is on your left when you are holding the guitar (on the right when facing the guitar) which may need addressing as it may lead to more finish damage in the future.

Trussrod is still in good condition and the original frets are at about 75%.

Plays beautifully.

- ’57 Classic Pickups

- ‘60s-style slimmer Neck Profile

(Not too thin as some necks can get. Very comfortable in our opinion.)

- Beautiful Dark Rosewood Fretboard

- Iconic Small Block Inlays

- Relatively rare Iced Tea Burst Finish

- 3.8 kg. ( 8.4 lbs)

- Stopbar Tailpeice

- ABR-1 Bridge

Comes with original hardcase and documentation as photographed.

The paperwork is not very helpful as the packing checklist has not been filled out.

However, judging by the specs, we are extremely confident that this guitar is what it is.

【Personal Impressions】

Although not a signature guitar for Larry Carlton, we think this particular one comes very close in both looks and his signature sweet and soft tone.

Acoustically very resonant and balanced, which is especially noticeable when strumming chords.

Although the price is already a bargain as a normal Gibson ES335, it is a steal considering its rare specs.
