2018 Fender Made in Japan Limited Collection ‘60s Stratocaster refinished in “Purple Haze”

Here we have a 2018 Fender Made in Japan Limited Collection ‘60s Stratocaster refinished in “Purple Haze”.

Although it isn’t very well known as not very many are made, the Limited Collection series is Fender Japan’s flagship series! These guitars are said to take 3 times the man hours to produce, compared to Fender Japan’s regular production line up. These are actually made to inch standards, vs the standard Fender Japan metric standard, and have all USA hardware. You can definitely tell that these are Fender Japan’s best efforts to replicate a vintage Stratocaster.

With so much attention to detail, these guitars blast some Fender USAs out of the water!

【Specs and condition】

In great playing condition with very very slight wear. In particular, there is a scuff on the bottom of the body and a few finish cracks on the back of the neck up towards the headstock.

This one started out in Candy Apple Red and retailing at around $2000, but it has been refinished professionally in this awesome purple color (of course full nitro!), a la Jimi Hendrix.

The refinish job is so good, it looks factory!

Plays great, looks amazing and sounds better! Very tempted to add this to my personal collection…

Just a beautiful example of Japanese craftsmanship…

The “Purple Haze” finish is such an upgrade from the classic (but slightly boring) Candy Apple Red. Beautiful high end sparkle, yet such a warm and sweet tone.

Jimi fanatic or not, you will not regret getting this Strat!
