These are very rare post Norlin-era guitars that were produced only between 1987 and 1990. It is said that Gibson was planning to have these "Nouveau series" guitars assembled in Japan and set up in the U.S. to sell as Gibsons. However, things didn't work out and they were sold as Epiphones. That being said, the quality is beyond amazing and these easily fetch around $2000 USD .
