Here we have a 2003 Gibson CS336F.

This is a Custom Shop run of an ES335 style instrument. However, unlike the regular ES’s, the back, sides and center block of the CS336 are carved from a single piece of mahogany.

To top it off, the CS336F has a flamed maple top.

From smack dab in the middle of the “good wood” era, this guitar is a killer in terms of both looks and specs.

【Specs and condition】

The condition of the guitar is very clean, with no significant marks to mention.

However, although it is clean, the guitar shows minor signs of use, as is to be expected of a guitar of its age.

- One piece Mahogany back and sides

- 57 Classic pickups

- Medium C profile Mahogany neck

- Killer flame top in a slightly faded Cherry Sunburst

Comes with brand new Gibson hard case and documentation as photographed.

【Personal Impressions】

This guitar is great for those who find ES335s too “airy.”

The one piece back, sides and center block seem to help the sound to be more focused. We’d like to say that it is somewhere between a Les Paul and an ES335.

Smooth, rich, clear, creamy, blooming; these are all adjectives we would use to describe this great instrument.

Such great looks and awesome Custom Shop quality, you really don’t come across a guitar as great as this one everyday.
